My name is Amanda Breanne Sharpe and I’m the maker behind Red River & Sage Co. I’m a 40-year-old artist, mother of four, and proud Red River Métis woman — though that pride took time to grow.

With a background in visual arts and photography, I’ve always created with my hands and heart. Over the years, I’ve built a life around home-based businesses — from cakes to cameras to cleaning — but it wasn’t until recently, with the birth of my youngest, that I felt called to create something deeper: something rooted in purpose, heritage, and healing.

This journey truly began when my daughter was given a school project on her ancestry. That project unearthed stories long buried — stories of our Métis family from Winnipeg and the Red River. I had grown up being taught to be quiet about where I came from. But now, as a mother, I want my children to walk proudly in the footsteps of their ancestors, to know who they are and why it matters.

Red River & Sage Co. was born from that desire — to honour my roots, reconnect with the land, and handcraft something meaningful. What began in my kitchen has grown into a collection of mindful, earth-conscious goods: products that are safe, nourishing, and filled with intention. Everything I make is free from synthetic fragrances, chemicals, and fillers. All products are inspired by both plant wisdom and traditional Métis knowledge.

This is more than a business — it’s a legacy. It’s a way to pass down stories, land-based teachings, and the pride I’ve fought to reclaim. It’s luxury made naturally. Tradition made tangible. And it’s my way of offering something beautiful — for my family, for yours, and for the generations to come.
